Agents score with football-themed tour of Concorde Park

It may not have come home, but football made it as far as Concorde Park, our development at Segensworth, when we invited guests from across the south to take a look around.

The visit in the aftermath of the Euro 2020 tournament was a chance for us to celebrate scoring a 50% let rate following the arrival of several new businesses.

The event was open to agents from across the south coast who were given a tour of the 91,000 sq ft site before we added a football flavour in honour of England’s near-miss with a penalty shoot-out contest.

Competitors from agents including Savills, Omega RE, Hollloway Iliffe and Mitchell, Primmer Olds, Keygrove, and Hellier Langston stepped up the spot to take their shots, with many hitting the back of the net (and some not quite).

But it was Jonathan Manhire from Manhire LLP who took the trophy (well, a £100 Amazon voucher) as the most successful scorer.

Rachel Lacklison, Asset Manager at Kingsbridge Estates, said: “This was a great way to cheer us all up after the England result and celebrate our team’s performance in reaching the final as well as marking our own achievement in letting half the units at Concorde Park just months after completion.

“Congratulations go to Jonathan, and thanks to all who attended on the day to make it such a success.”

Oliver Sherriff of CBRE, joint agents for Concorde Park with Vail Williams, said: “It was good to get back to sense of normality and finally welcome the local agent community to Concorde Park to show off the successes of the year to date. We have gained excellent momentum on the estate and look forward to welcoming occupiers to the remaining four units.”

Concorde Park is a speculative quality industrial and warehouse development completed this year by Kingsbridge Estates, comprising 10 units ranging from 3,000 sq ft to 40,000 sq ft, all with loading facilities, high-quality first-floor office space and a minimum eaves height of 8.4m.

Specialist parts manufacturer Polycast was the latest to join the development, taking Units 6 and 7 with plans to create a new state-of-the-art foundry and machine shop in the premises of more than 22,000 sq ft.

They join overnight parcel and delivery company Delivered, agricultural technology business Agform, tools and equipment specialist Key Blades and Fixings and car wrapping business Amigo Wrap as occupiers at the site.
