We did it! Foodbank donation of £18,000 marks the end of our 20th anniversary year

We’ve wrapped up Kingsbridge’s 20th anniversary year by handing a donation of £18,000 to Chichester District Foodbank.

Thanks to support from the business community for our series of activities throughout 2025, we raised £9,000 in donations for this vital local service – a sum we’ve matched to bring us to the final total. The amount will make a huge difference to the Foodbank, which as a small locally-run charity, relies heavily upon donations.

The handover comes at the end of a fundraising drive which saw us complete our series of Platinum Pledges marking 20 years of Kingsbridge as a developer in the South.

We’d like to thank all those who supported the campaign throughout 2025 as we held fundraising events including:

  • Our 20th anniversary celebration at Ashling Park Estate, which included a raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses.
  • The Kingsbridge team taking on a 20km sponsored walk along the South Downs Way, each taking more than 35,000 steps to cover the distance between Arundel and Steyning.
  • Our first ever South Coast Charity Padel Tournament, held at Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club and enjoyed by members of the commercial property business community.

Members of the Kingsbridge team also spent time volunteering at the centre, preparing and packing food parcels in its warehouse, helping with a move of premises and assisting with winter food drives at local supermarkets.

Chris Fry, Kingsbridge CEO, said: “We are committed to making a real and lasting difference in the communities where we live, work and develop – and this will go on beyond our anniversary year.

“For now, as we draw our 20th year celebrations to a close, I’d like to give my thanks to our team and to every business and individual who supported our fundraising and community efforts during 2025. You have all made an impact which will be felt this winter and for a long time to come.”

The donation will enable the Foodbank, part of the Trussell network, to provide hundreds of emergency food parcels, helping families through crisis and ensuring children, who make up 38% of those the charity supports, don’t go hungry.

It will also strengthen its More Than Food approach, allowing the charity’s signposting team to continue working with a network of partners to provide people with practical support to tackle the root causes of hardship. This work helps people build confidence, skills and a sense of community, and empowers them to move towards a more stable future.

Sarah Adams, CEO at Chichester District Foodbank, said: “Our thanks go to Kingsbridge and to everyone who supported their fundraising efforts. This donation is a significant gift that will help people most in need in our communities through the winter season and beyond.”
