£1.2million office refurbishment begins at Charlotte Place, Southampton

We have started extension and refurbishment works at Charlotte Place, a prominent office building in the heart of Southampton.

When the £1.2million project is complete, the nine-storey, 80,000 sq ft building will be transformed with a clearer access route and an extended double height glazed reception area to welcome visitors.

The works, being carried out by Amiri Construction, also include a new first-floor business lounge, offering new breakout and collaborative spaces.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, there will be more energy-efficient lighting, and people who work at Charlotte Place will have access to secure bicycle parking, showers and lockers, and electric vehicle charging points.

Demand for quality office space across the south, including Southampton, is in short supply, and we are anticipating significant interest in the improved facilities.

As lockdown restrictions ease, we are also expecting increased demand for flexible space, and so we have designed the fifth floor at Charlotte Place to be multi-use, with the option to break it down into smaller areas let on flexible terms.

Charlotte Place is a prime example of our commitment to creating exciting and dynamic spaces – in this case taking a local landmark building and investing in it to create an exceptional office environment.

Enquiries for Charlotte Place can be made via Vail Williams and Savills.
